Mission:

Our mission at Lucky L Jerseys is to have financial success through the marketing of high quality milk while providing an attractive well-maintained living environment, which allows time for family, church, and recreation.

People:

Dennis Leamon is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he majored in Dairy. He has a lifelong love of Dairy Farming and worked at private and commercial dairies before first leasing, and finally buying, the land for Lucky L Jerseys in 1974.

Dennis and his wife Mary Beth have been married for 30 years and have two adult children, Kellie and Jenny.

Herd:

Lucky L Jerseys currently milks 156 full-bred, registered jersey heifers, producing an average yield of 19,000 lbs of milk.

Currently, Lucky L Jerseys has a cull rate of 12%, and a calving interval of 12.4 months.


Land:

Lucky L Jerseys is situated on 202 acres in northern Iredell county, with 136 acres devoted to grazing paddocks.
